How We Create Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete requires skill and timing. We work fast while the concrete is still workable, but we never rush the quality. Here's our process:

Base Preparation

Like all our concrete work, we start with proper excavation and a compacted gravel base. This foundation prevents settling and cracking that would ruin your stamped pattern.

Concrete Pour and Color

We pour high-quality concrete and work in integral color if you want color throughout. Then we apply a color hardener to the surface for the primary color. This step gives you the base tone before we stamp.

Stamping and Texture

Once the concrete firms up enough, we press mats into the surface to create your chosen pattern. We add release powder first, which creates color variation and keeps the mats from sticking. This step takes experience to get right.

Sealing and Protection
